Rachel Joy Scott
Her Poems
Just passing by
Just coming through
Not staying long
I always knew
This home I have
Will never last
By, Rachel Scott
Jesus, break these strong holds
Tear down the strings of sin
Release me from my pride
Rescue me from these games
Restore me from the hurt
Renew my heart again
Tear down this bondage
Destroy this burden
Give me love gives me peace.
My life, my love, my wants
My needs, my passion
My strength, my faults,
My sin, my friends,
My foes, my family
My all... Is now yours!
By, Rachel Scott
As I was weeping
And crying,
And fell to my knee
I heard the lord’s voice,
He was speaking to me,
He said there would be,
No more sins,
No more lies,
Only peace and happiness,
In all my cries...
By, Rachel Scott
You said" that’s bad"
I said "so what"
You said, "he lies"
I said, "he’s fun"
You said, "please stop"
I said, "shut up"
You said, "I love you"
I said "not now"
But then the matches
Burned my hands
And he wasn’t there for me
He left me
In the dark alone
But I was not alone
You said, " I love you "
I said "why?"
You said, " because I made you."
By, Rachel Scott
When I feel
You’re powerful presence
I fall to my knees
And cry in repentance
All I feel
Is your wonderful love?
And this only comes
From heaven above.
By, Rachel Scott
I close my eyes
I open my mind
I think of things
Yet to come
One day I will see
The face of my love
One day I will be
In somebody’s arms
Until that day
Will come to be
I close my eyes
And dream a dream
