Thank The Lord

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him......Colossians 3:17

My, just think of the blessings that we would definitely receive if we were to be more thankful to the Lord for everything! What has He done for us? For starters, He sent us the most precious gift of all in His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died on "an old rugged cross" so that all of mankind might have a way to salvation. God bestows so much love upon us. It is incredible to feel His love and the peace that it provides to ones heart and soul. How much more love would He be willing to impart to us if we only would show more gratefulness?

Consider, for a moment, the many times that the Lord has been good to you. Were you thankful? Or, did you take it for granted? I would dare say that most of us, including myself, many times take the Lord's love and grace for granted. If we would just take time during our extremely busy schedules to thank Him for His love, goodness, and protection, how much more might we experience it? The Lord wants to bless us and wants us to prosper in Him. The key to prospering in the Lord would most likely be to follow Him and His commandments, accept His will and guidance in our lives, and BE THANKFUL for all He provides.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ......Ephesians 5:17-20. What is the will of the Lord? That we give Him thanks for all things in the name of Jesus. Ask yourself this question: "Do I want to do the will of the Lord?" I hope that you answer, yes. If so, then make it a habit to thank the Lord daily for all of His many blessings that He has given and will give.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you......1 Thessalonians 5:18. Give thanks and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ for everything. Be thankful for His Son that He sent to die on a cross for you and everyone who will accept Him. Be thankful His wonderful love. Be thankful for the peace that He provides that passes all understanding. Give Him thanks for His Holy Word that He has given us that we might come to know Him better and have a better relationship with Him. Thank Him for the peace and comfort of mind that the Word provides. Thank Him for the people He has brought into your life that love and care for you. Thank Him for that job that you dread going to every single day. Thank Him for all of the necessary material things that He allows you to have. I could go on and on for many pages when listing all of the things that we have to be grateful for that the Lord Jesus Christ has given us. Let's just try to remember, and I'm considering myself along with this, to be grateful and praise the Lord for how wonderfully He blesses us all.
